Cold Girl Makeup is the Coolest Trend on Tiktok

It’s winter, time to brace for the cold and embrace what it brings…flushed, dry skin and all. We’re back with another Tiktok beauty trend: Cold Girl Makeup. A look befitting a day spent at a chalet, this ultra-matte, blush-heavy trend is our newest obsession at Sacred Child Beauty. Even if you live in a region that never sees snow, this hack will have you looking as if you did.
The key is to make your skin look natural yet porcelain at the same time. The lighter the shade the better. I recommend using Rare Beauty’s Positive Light Tinted Moisturizer to even your skin tone and add a boost of moisture, especially if you live in a place with cold wintry air. Next, apply Sacred Child Beauty’s lipstick in shade Covenant on the apples of your cheeks and nose to start building your blush foundation. This is also the time to go in with concealer or any other liquid products you prefer. But remember, the more natural the better!
Set your entire face with translucent setting powder. My favorite is Laura Mercier’s because it gives a matte appearance without any cakey finish. Focus on powdering under your eyes and on your t-zone, the places that get the oiliest.
Tiktok creator Zoe Kim Kenealy recommends using both a pink and orange blush layered on top of each other to achieve that perfect flushed cheek color. My favorite blush right now is Dior’s Backstage Rosy Glow Blush in shades Pink and Coral. Trust me, it’s a wonderful combo. Dust the apples of your cheeks, the tip and bridge of your nose, and even give yourself a blush mustache! This is not the time to hold back. Once you’ve bathed in blush, go back over with a setting powder to eliminate any shine. Glow is a no go!
To top it off, give your lips a pinky finish. Sacred Child Beauty’s lipstick in shade Saintly is the perfect pale pink to match your rosy cheeks…and it’ll last well after you’ve warmed yourself with a cup of hot cocoa.
Kenealy coined this look: a simple, serotonin booster that will have you looking like you’re on the set of a Hallmark Christmas movie. Try it out and let us know what you think in the comments. Happy Holidays!
